A graduate of the Harvard University Advanced Management Development Program in real estate, Meredith Trattler owns a full-service real estate firm in Florida known as Cornerstone Campus Communities. Throughout her career, Meredith Trattler has supported the work of organizations such as the American Cancer Society (ACS).

Dedicated to eliminating cancer, ACS works to save lives by funding important cancer research, encouraging cancer-preventing habits, and providing treatment assistance to those with cancer. Every year, the organization hosts events such as the Relay For Life to support its programs.

A team fundraising event, Relay For Life cancer walks take place across the country and around the world. These events range from 6 to 24 hours and always have a member of the relay team walking, representing the ongoing fight against cancer without respite. Participating teams prepare a donation site decorated according to a particular theme where they receive contributions.

Every Relay For Life begins with the opening ceremony and laps walked to honor survivors and caregivers. Then the official walk starts, after which the event concludes with the closing ceremonies. Those in attendance but not walking can visit the various donation sites and participate in a variety of fundraising games and activities.
